I'm upgrading my computer to vista so I need more RAM. I have 1 gig (2x512mb) of Buffalo Technologies ddr1066 ram. They no long make this 1066 speed Ram. I found another brand with a 2x512 kit with the same speed, voltage, and timing. In fact, it almost looks exactly the same, it could a be a re-branded product. Most topics I find about RAM involve down clocking one set of RAM but I've found a different brand of RAM with the same specs. Will this work?

It should work. As long as you follow the mobo manual for install it should even work in dual channel. (paired up with each other)

TBH, for the cost of memory and what vista actually uses, if you are going to add memory, add 2gb. You can get a 2gb kit for around 50 bucks.
