i think my memory is 184-pin DIMM i have about 350$ for a processor and memory how do i find out what processor would fix my computer thanks
 
What is the make and model of your computer?

I need the info to find out what will fit.

Evo D310
intel (R)
celeron(R) cpu 1.80 GHz
1.79GHz, 120 MB of ram

This is looking at the desktop/mini-tower configuration.

Socket 478, 400 MHZ & 533MHz

DDR 266 (PC2100) RAM, max of 512MB per stick, max of 1 gig

AGP, x2-x4

This will basically max out your system's possiblities.

You may want to look for an AGP x4 video card. That would help your computer's performance in games.

i have only got 1 free space for ram would it be ok to take out the ram that is in and put the other 2 in
 
Yes.

The RAM I pinked to is a stick of 512. Get two, pull out what is in there, and pop in both of the new. It will give you a gig of RAM.

The CPU I listed will be almost twice as fast as the one you have, maybe more since it has the whole on-board cache intact.
