I have a gateway 700gr system with 1GB 512x2 memory. I use this for downloading my pictures from my digital camera Internet and E-Mail. If I added another GB of ram 512x2 would that speed things up or would it be a waste of money. Thanks

if all you do is what you mentioned above, it'd be a waste of money, IMO. granted, more RAM almost always speeds things up. but in your case I don't think you'd see enough improvement to justify the cost. if you plan on running any games or doing lots of photo editing in the future, i'd get the extra RAM.
