939 is a bargain now. You could get a good computer for cheap.

Opteron 175 + Scythe Infinity
Asus A8N32-SLI
2 gigs corsair XMS DDR 400
XFX geforce 6800 XT
X-navigator case
30G Maxtor + 250G Maxtor

bum is right. I built a socket 939 about 7 months ago and spent $1,000-$2,000 now its only worth about $600.

The memory was $200, xp was $200, cpu was $200

Now xp is $90, cpu is only about $60 and the 2gb of ddr memory is only about $200.

Well socket 939 owns if you need a cheap pc. sucks that i built 2 pc's with those specs around the same time so i lost alot of money there.

Now you can get faster cpu's that are dual core for $200. I got a 4200+ dual core for $180. the 3500+ i got was $200 so you do the math.
