These are mobile SATA, so it just has regular SATA power and SATA interface.

Just stop already.

Everytime someone says that, I ask them to find me a 1" thick laptop with:
  • 15.4" widescreen LCD 1440x900
  • 2.16Ghz Core Duo
  • 2GB DDR2-667
  • 256MB X1600 video card
  • DVD burner
  • Built-in video camera and mic
  • Bluetooth and wireless adaptors
  • Backlit keyboard (with light sensors to automatically set brightness)
  • 120GB SATA harddrive
  • Remote control / IR receiver
  • Motion sensor

Find a PC with those specs for less than $2385 (which is what I paid Apple for it on their website) and then we'll talk.

I keep asking you people to find me one, and no one ever does. Could it possibly be that you are wrong?
Uhh, this is the FIRST time I've ever heard you say this.

Uhh, big deal.. can't really pre build laptops...
Anyway, here goes this...

Aurora™ m9700 Alienware laptop.
AMD Turion™ 64 Mobile ML40 2.2GHz 800MHz FSB 1MB L2 Cache
17" WideXGA+ 1440 x 900 LCD with Clearview Technology
Genuine Windows® XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2
2GB Dual Channel DDR SO-DIMM at 400MHz - 2 x 1024MB
160GB (80GB x 2) Serial ATA 1.5Gb/s 5,400 RPM w/ NCQ & 8MB Cache
24x10x24 CD-RW Burner / 8X DVD Reader
256MB NVidia® GeForce™ Go 7900 GS
Internal 802.11b/g WiFi Card
Integrated 10/1000Mb Gigabit Ethernet & 56K V.92 Modem
Integrated Bluetooth® Device
Total : $2,399.00
Yeah, so find me a Mac laptop with RAID0, or a 7900GS..Sure, I might not have a camera, or back lit keyboard... but I don't really care about those, I'd rather have a fast computer =)
