Low power consumption ssd

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to replace my laptop's HDD with an SSD that has an average power consumption that's on the lower end of what's available. Gb/s is secondary for me. How do the SATA I, II and III compare in terms of power consumption? What will my best option be? I have a Samsung NP550P5C-A01UB running Windows 8.

Any SSD will consume much less power than a standard HDD. The bus (SATA 1/2/3) doesn't matter in terms of power as bus bandwidth only determines maximum throughput.
