Please review this parts list for a inexpensive computer. I'll be using the PSU, case and DVD burner from my old system.
CPU: Athlon 64 X2 4000+ Brisbane 2.1GHz
Newegg.com - AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ Brisbane 2.1GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core Processor - CPUs / Processors $57
MB: GIGABYTE GA-MA69VM-S2 AM2
Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-MA69VM-S2 AM2 AMD 690V Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards $65
OR
ASUS M2A-VM AM2 AMD 690G Micro ATX
Newegg.com - ASUS M2A-VM AM2 AMD 690G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards $70
MEM:CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
Newegg.com - CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory $29 (after rebates)
I recently purchased a Seagate 500GB Sata Drive
Computer will be used for everything except games. I work with photo's and/or have multiple programs running.
I don't have much available cash for a build right now but anything has got to be better than my ancient (9 yr.old) system.
Thanks in advance
