I would go with one of these three combos. The x3 445, x3 450, and the Pheniom II x2 560 are all potential unlockers, while the x2 260 is a true dual core and doesn't have any extra cores to possibly unlock.

No need for the super-duper RAM & fan if you aren't gaming:

Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL

Hey Trotter.. whats a unmocker? It doesn't make fun of the other parts??

Your power supply scares me though.. Good size, just bad maker.

Try this: Newegg.com - SILVERSTONE ST40F-ES 400W ATX 12V 2.3 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

alright ill look into that....

do you guys think a solid state drive would be necessary for this? someone reccomended it to me in another forum, but then someone else said that it would be necessary. This computer will not be for gaming as i said, so would i really need an SSD?

Not in my opinion... Youre specing lower performance/basic parts, that an ssd is not a good investment.
Put that money into better parts.

FSP is a decent power supply, I've used quite a few of them in the past, never got a bad one yet.

I still have 2 in use at my office that have worked for at least 3 years but probably closer to 5 years. These are just basic workstation computers with nothing fancy. I've also used quite a few FSP power supplies in economy PC's I've built for other people and I've never had one of them come back. To be perfectly honest FSP is probably my favorite discount power supply maker, I wouldn't use one in my high-end PC but that's a completely different beast.

I gotta second Slay's comments. FSP is not well known anymore, but they are solid. They were better known around here when Antec was the local darling instead of Corsair (which only made RAM back then).

Do not start multiple threads on this. Update this one. I have deleted the others.
