Default Looking for a New Video/Graphics Card

I need to upgrade my video card in my pc but there's too many to choose from so I thought I might ask for some help from the experts!

I don't need anything too extreme, but I am hoping to turn my computer into a game console that is good enough for me!

The games I'll probably get are: (specifications can be found on the link)

The Sims 3

EA Reveals The Sims 3 Spec News - TotalVideoGames.com

Shaun White Snowboarding

IGN: Shaun White Snowboarding

NBA 2K9

NBA 2K9 Will Be Coming to the PC - Also the technical specifications - Softpedia

Fifa 2009

Gamestop.com - Buy FIFA Soccer 2009 - PC

and I'll keep adding to the list when I find games I like!

Could anyone recommend me a good video card that would be ideal for these games that's under 50 or 40?

Thanks

You accidentally double-posted your thread

Anyway, you're looking at a 9800GT or a GTS250 or a GTX260 if you go for a nVidia card, or a 4870 if you go ATi.

She would be fine with a 4830 or a 4850 in ATI as well, she doesn't need a 4870.

Ok thanks, they're quite expensive but nevermind! I'll have to save! My friend recommended this

Sapphire HD 3650 512MB DDR2 Dual DVI TV Out PCI-E Graphics Card - Ebuyer

Is that any good?

The only game I would be wary about on that card would be Shaun White, everything else would play fine. Shaun White could play on it, but you could bump up to a 38xx series instead, it probably won't cost you much more.

I don't know the brand, but that series card should be just fine.

Actually you're better off getting a 4670 instead:
Sapphire HD 4670 512MB GDDR4 HDMI DVI VGA PCI-E Graphics Card - Ebuyer

They're faster than a 3850 for the same price.
