Default Looking for a great external HDD for multiple systems as back up

After getting my hdd wiped, I want to make sure I have everything backed up from now on. I have a Dell Inspiron E1505, and I plan on getting a high powered desktop, and a cheap netbook for taking notes in the near future. I want them all to have their data backed up on an external HDD with at least 1TB of memory. Another thing I'd like to do, is put all of my movies and songs and pictures from itunes on the DVD, so that way I can access them from each computer at any time. Does anyone know of a good HDD for this? I'm looking at this one...
