Default LCD widescreen monitors

Should I go for dell 20" widescreen - which is 390ish with tax/shipping

or spend ~70-100 bucks less for the same (20, 20.1") at newegg?

are dell's monitors really that much better?

or should I go for newegg?

My roomie has a 20" dell widescreen, amazing, absolutly amazing, but i recommend a video card with DVI, the VGA isn't all that great at those high resolutions. Surprizingly a big difference in quality and sharpness.

i hate dell, but their monitors aren't too shabby. then again, they have nice, trustworthy monitors.

I did see a Benq fp202W at 310 and a viewsonic vx2025wm at 345, both with excelent reviews (+100 overall, 5/5 eggs).

However, i could not find a dell under 350, and taht was from shady sources.

i say give benq a chance.
