on the 22 inch can you have 2 windows open at a good size like watch a movie or video and im or surf the net?

Yes, on a 22" @ 1680x1050, a fullsized DVD window is like a 1/6th of the screen. Lots of extra space.

yeah. if you want a physical example of how big it is, just put two regular (8.5 by 11) pieces of paper together and add about 1-2 inches. thats how much screen space you have to work with

too bad 19 inch wide screen is a big change from 17inch crt so no big.

Good choice Acer makes excellent monitors just like their other products and they have a really good repair/warrenty program as well.
