Laptop upgrade help, processor and RAM

I have a Dell Inspiron 3250 with an Intel Core i3 2350M processor, I want to upgrade to an i5 and can't find one that would work in my computer. Can someone post a link to the best processor that would work, thanks. Also, I have a 4 gb slot that I can put more RAM into, and I was wondering what matters for RAM to be compatible and work better in my computer besides the amount of pins it has?

Need to figure out if the chip is soldered in to the board or not. To do this you will need to take it apart and see if there is a socket or not.

The 2350m is a ppga988 (G2) socket chip so hypothetically your board is a socket system AND the bios supports the chip (unlikely) you have 2 options.

Thanks for the help. Do you know if I upgraded the processor if I could upgrade the graphics chip to HD 4000? Or is that unchangeable, I currently have HD 3000 graphics? Thanks for all the help!

The 3220m I linked has the HD4000.

The HD graphics is built in to the CPU.
