laptop ram

I have an old Toshiba Satellite 1135-S125 and it only has 256mb of ram, I was wondering if I could use DDR1 PC2700, or PC3200 memory instead of the designated PC2100 it's currently using. I know the memory under clocks in pcs but does the under clocking also apply to my artifact of a laptop?

Yes, you can use higher ram but it'll will downclock. For older PCs, they tend to be more fickle so it is more wise to use the correct ram.
