Laptop battery problem

I've Laptop (TOSHIBA Satellite)

My problem is that the windows doesn't the battery status.
Powermeter always display unkown remaining, although i've installed TOSHIBA PowerSaver program.

the battery work properly about 3 hours
what i can do?

Try Reinstalling the battery and run it completely dry for a few cycles.

okay... physically remove the battery from the notebook, wait 10 minutes, and put it back in.
And by "run dry" I mean leave your laptop on, unplugged, until the battery totally runs out and it shuts off. Then fully recharge it and see if that helps anything.
