Laptop ?

Need help ! Which laptop ?

My wife is going to buy a new laptop. She will be using it for photo retouching. We can't pay the 2 grand for the mac she wants right now so she's going to get a windows laptop. So far she has a sony and an hp laptop picked out, both are around 1,100. I have heard that sonys aren't reliable and are sent back a lot but it has the best screen for graphics. Any suggestions ?

Hewlett Packard make excellent laptops. We have 3 in our house, and all of them are faultless. My only suggestion is, don't get a Dell. My brother previously had one, and he had to have the motherboard changed on it five times.

Are the HP compaqs any good ? You can buy them at HP for a little less money.
