Default laptop

im sure its been asked but i just want to know straght up is it possible to create a good gaming laptop with 1000$. not an ok a good one that will run all up to date games and many games in the future without needing frequent upgrades. thanks. (some things it would need that would probly effect if you say yes or no 100gb mem and very good prosessor and vid card)

No, not really.

I bought my daughter a Toshibe with a 17" screen, P-M 2.0GHz, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB HD, and a X1600 graphics card... cost $1250 on a really good sale. I looked for a couple of months befoer I found the one I wanted for the price I wanted.

That's not to say you can't get lucky, but $1K won't get a good gaming lappy. A mediocre one, yeah.

Go to and search for laptops there. Keep looking to you find a good deal... prices change all the time.

Like Troter said, a good gaming laptop will run around $1300 usually.
You can build a mediocare compaq/hp one on their site for about $1k
