Default laptop

lookin for a good all purpose laptop for about 2,000 usd, any suggestions? i've checked new egg, but i dont know that much about laptop graphics cards, most have gefore go 7400 or ati x1600, which is better?

For about ~$2000....i would have to say an intel based macbook....its got a built-in camera in the screen too...

That's your computer, right there. Much better specs than the macbook. If you buy that laptop, I highly recommend wiping it clean and reloading windows, because Acer will put all sorts of software preloaded on it.

Actually the Acers that I've dealt with (several) have little preloaded software to speak of. Usually just the dvd burning software, Norton trial, and their recovery stuff. They aren't terribly reliable however, I would recommend a better brand such as HP/Compaq, Toshiba, ABS, Sony, etc.
I haven't seen any benchmarks for the 7400gt so I can't say for certain how good it is but I'm fairly sure the x1600 is going to be faster.
