Default Just put together new system, but will 8800gt solve my problems?

So basically i upgraded my motherboard, CPU, and ram and i have the current rig that's in my sig. but when i play crysis i can't play on high settings and it looks kind of bad. If i get an 8800gt will it go away and will i be able to run it on high with minimal lag?

Very much yes. Your current video card is weak as all heck.

Even the 8800GT with High Settings AA OFF you're gonna get around 10~20fps nothing more.

Yeah, turns out Crysis is a bit of a beast. And they aren't very good at making games. Either that or (and this is what I think), they purposefully designed it with Nvidia to only play properly with the new line of cards. So the only way you get great framerate at full settings (if at all) with current technology, is a real top of the line, 2 Ultras SLI, kind of rig.

Ask me, I wouldn't bother to be honest. Its only another FPS, thoroughly overrated

I agree with Andy, Crysis isnt all that, its mostly hype.

If you want a good FPS that will DEFINATLY 100% run nicely is Call of duty 4, and people have said the graphics are as good if not better than Crysis.

P.s you should be posting in "high end" section not general pc's

with my BFG 8800GT OC2 i get 30~40fps on 1440 x 900, all settings on high, vsync off.

the graphics are good, but not much better than COD2, seeming as its mainly the same engine.
