Hey guys, I decided to check this website and learn about building computers, not so long ago my dad bought me a ZT computer, but we tried some modern games and we couldn't even get them running! I decided to save money for a new build, my dad also helped me gather the money. Here's the build we just ordered from newegg.com

So, will I see a improvement over the GeForce 6100, Athlon II X2 240?

Yes, you will see a large improvement over your previous setup.

For roughly $15 more you could have went with an XFX 4850 and an Antec 520W PSU and had much better graphics.

Well since my dad is a hardcore nvidia fan he told me to get that. Plus the game we play the most was designed for nvidia so it will perform better on nvidia. He also thinks Corsair is the best power supply brand on earth.

Dude, power has a lot more effect than brand...

A 4850 is going to smoke a 9800, simple as that. Now a game that is optimized for Nvidia will perform better than its Ati competitor, the 4830, but it isn't going to beat out the 4850. Both antec and corsair are great psu brands. A 520W antec is a lot better than a 400W corsair. Now, if you upgrade your gpu, you will need a new psu as well because it is so weak. If I were you, I would just send those parts back when they come and go with the better setup.
