just finished first build... very happy. temp questions

i just finished building my first build, everything went well, yay. had no troubles turning it on, etc.

i have the 7750 kuma on a biostar 790gx xfire mobo, with stock cooling/thermal grease. the cpu temp is at 29 degrees and the system temp is at 19 degrees. how much could i safely oc it? i have a 500w power supply.

also, when i finished my build i realized i didn't put that metal plate that goes over the ports in the back. is that necessary?

The plates are not necessary but they help keep dust out.

Safe temps for an oc on LOAD is about 50-60c range thats for your CPU

A safe OC on your GPU is about 70c on LOAD

you may want to get some stress testing software like prime 95 and 3dmark06 to test out your configs to see if they're to strenuous. normally you'll get errors when its to high.
