Just bought 7600GS - Power Issues

ok I recently upgraded from a radeon 9700PRO to 7600GS.
First of all the 7600 runs faster than the 9700pro, however it has made a really small difference and is more unreliable (random heavy fps lagg that wasnt previously there).

I think its my PSU ( 450 WATT). But 12V on 19A, I expected a massive difference i have had almost no improvement, is this down the my psu being too low.

its not your psu. its the card. i hate to tell you but the card isn't very good. i had the same problem, i went from a 9200se to the 7600GS and could play games on higher res, but that was it. if you still can return the card and atleast get a GT or a better card if you can.

ouch, i spent $150 (Australian) on that **** card.
Is there anything I can do to improve its perfomance which I havent tried already?
