I think the Core Duos are dual cores for socket 478 and laptops. Core 2 Duos is a new architecture and are for socket 775 which currently beats any processor.

SuperPI is a benchmark that will calculate a certain number of digits of pi. The standard benchmark is 1 million digits, and the T2700 will do it in about 25 seconds. To put it into perspective, an FX-62 takes like 28 seconds.

Edit: Beat you uzi9mm :p:p

thats pretty good i guess. My computer now is a P4 2.8 ghz and can do it in 53 seconds. If you do the math i guess that could make the t2700 5.936 ghz in P4 terms. (2.8/53 = x/25) Can you do that???

Yeah, I guess you could do that, but it won't be entirely accurate. It would just be a general comparison ratio ...

Core is single or Core Duo is Dual Core and also core 2's are alot faster and better overclockers
