Hey guys, me again. My aunt wants me to install a wireless card in her 2002 PC. I personally, I dont think that this is a good idea, because, well, ITS FROM THE STONE AGE. Her kids use it for simple online games and whatnot. I offered to build her a new PC, but she just wants wireless in it. She says that it's really slow.
This is the PC: eMachines T3624 Specs - CNET

Should I install the wireless card or should I build her a new one?

Thanks in advance!

Ideally you should upgrade her... but $300-400 for a new machine or $20 for a wifi adapter. Depends on how much you want to spend...lol. Unless you can find a used machine for cheaper on Craigslist in your area.

If it has any open PCI slots, a PCI wifi card would be best. Otherwise, you'd have to go with a USB card.

It has 2 open PCI slots.... what card specifically would you recommend? Her internet speed is around 15mbps.

Ok, nevermind. I totaled it up and she wants to go with the new build, since her other one took 2 minutes to load an internet page.

I'll start a post on the new build.

Thanks anyway!
