installing usb2.0?

i bought and installed a usb2.0 pci card, and connected it to an 5.25" internal mount usb2 hub that i also bought. i connected one of the remaining four ports on the card to my dell 1901fp monitor, which in turn is a 4 port usb2 hub. the computer recognises the pci card as a usb2 device, but for some reason does not operate anything at usb2 speeds that are plugged in through the monitor, and doesnt recognise anything in the 5.25" hub at all?

when i switch the monitor off and on again, i get the usual windows pop up saying all the things plugged into the monitor can run at higher speeds, and then windows tries to install a new "usb generic hub"

i have fixed the internal drive now, but it still tries to reinstall the generic usb hub everytime i switch themonitor off and on

You mean everytime you shutdown your computer. You need USB2.0 drivers.

no, its fine when i restart the computer. it only does it when the monitor itself is switched off
