Default Inspiron 9400 /E1705....too big?

Ok i cancelled my order for a 6400 as I think i found some very nice coupons which could get me either the same for cheaper or a 9400 for a good price and i could get the 7900 GS video card or at least be able to upgrade to inin the future.

1 problem...THE THINGS HUGE. 17 inch screen. Is this overboard? I just want a fututre friendly 15 incher really...Thoughts? Anyone have the 9400? (aka a E1705)
