Sorry, I'm a complete noob on this.

Anyways, I ordered a complete config from newegg and noticed my mobo has a nvidia chip and my graphics card is a ATi. Is this bad? I'm guessing most likely they will run without problems, but I'm I not getting the full potential of these hardware?

Nvidia on your mobo is your Chipset, has nothing to do with graphics. unless you have an intergrated video but that still doesnt matter.

but like you said, your fine.

Correct. Nvidia makes the chipset driver, which as King X13 said has nothing to do with the video chipset... you will see every bit of potential that the GPU and mobo can give you...

To make things clearer, I was wonder if a nvidia gpu video card was used with a mobo with a nvidia chipset, would the video card benefit a lot more?
