Default I need a little help

hello i'm new here
well... i'm thinking of upgrading my pc's video card... but i want to know if its compatible/possible... My system specs are.
Athlon XP 2500+
512 mb. RAM
Geforce FX 5200 128 mb. (AGP)

I want to get this one. do you guys think it'll work? or should i upgrade my cpu or ram also?

He has an AGP card now, so he can add another AGP card.

The real issue is your power supply.

ok if you have a PCI-E Motherboard you can only put PCI-E Video cards in it, if you have an AGP board, you can only put AGP video cards in it. PCI-E is the newer and faster slot technology, AGP is a little older. But if your going to get an AGP Card go with the eVGA Geforce 6800GT.

well u see i'm short on money right now... and i was hoping this card wil do for now..
i only have bout 150. buks
i have a raidmax power supply 420 w
my motherboard is
MSI K7N2 (MS-6570) Motherboard

A 6600 gt will be fine, more than enough power you've got, an agp slot that will be fine, i don't see any problems.... How about this one though....

oh ok thx...
but the PNY card's memory speed is a bit slower than the xfx... so i'm still getting the XFX. thx for the help guys
