Default I need help with my Dell

Hi,

I'm not very good with computers so I'm going to need all the help I can possibly get with this. I have a Dell dimension 3000 and it has a motherboard with a PCI slot but I need a PCI-Express slot.

The people on the dell forum told me it was impossible to take out the motherboard and put another one in that has a PCI-E slot. Is this true?

The reason I want a PCI-E slot is because I want the ATI Radeon 9800 video card for various reasons.

Can someone tell me what kind of motherboard I would have to get and explain to me the process of removing the one in there with a new one? I would probably need new ram and a bigger hard drive as well. It will need to be a serious upgrade.

I will pay cash (via paypal) to whomever can guide me through what exactly I will need to buy for this and also guide me on how to switch things around in my computer.

Thanks!

They make AGP 9800s, so you could always see if your mobo has an AGP slot...

OK, in the long run, it would be cheaper to build a new PC rather than try to replace all the parts in your old Dell, because of the high prices of Dell's proprietary parts. That's just the way it is...

there is probably not an AGP slot either, cause in my dell 2400 they too k it out LOL! so your way is to build a new comp. or upgrade to a PCI graphics cared
