If you dont have a desktop then get the desktop. This way you can upgrade ti and make it better. If you already have a desktop then get the laptop that way you can take it to places that you cant bring you desktop. I have my rig that is listed in my sig, but i also have an old ibm thinkpad that my neighbor gave me. It is awesome. It is pretty fast for just internet and aim and other light atuff. It has a p3 700mhz and 256mb ram and a 20 gig hdd. I love it. Although i do use my pc WAY more than my lappy, the lappy still comes in handy when i need it. So if you got a desktop get the lappy.
