Default HP Pavillian and Gateway E-3400

Can anyone tell me whats the most ram each of these 2 computers can take? The HP has a 1ghz Celeron, with 2 slots. 1 slot has 1 stick of 128 PC100, the other slot is empty. The Gateway had 1ghz P3, 2 memory slots. Each slot has 128mb PC133. Total of 256mb.

Ok, first of all what is the model is the Pavillian, there are alot of different HP Pavillian models out, also second of all if you google the Gateway E-3400 you find the PDF manual of it. Which shows the maximum ram is 512 of PC133 SDRAM, supports 32, 64, 128 and 256mb chips of the PC133.

Manual is Here (PDF)

I'd imagine the HP takes about 512MB maximum, as most computer in that age area took 512MB MAX.
