Angry HP Computer can't play dvd

Good morning everyone, I have a HP computer 2000 and it does not plays my dvd, how can I get my computer to play dvd and to where I can download movies on my computer,

My computer just plays cd, my cd rom drive says compact disk , when I put a dvd in the cd rom, it does not do anything at all,

then you don't have a DVD drive... if you have a "downloaded" movie then you might be able to get the windows media player DVD reader install pack, you should be able to at least wathc them like that. but you need a dvd drive to watch tehm from disk

You need a DVD-ROM to watch DVDs.

You can buy very cheap DVD-RWs from newegg. That will allow you to watch DVDs on your PC, as well as making your own

Yeah you do, it's part of Windows...

And DVD readers are like $12 and writers are like $30.

They're very cheap, as said above, ~$30 for a DVD Re-writer, which you will need for making your own DVDs
