How to upgrade for better gaming

You can run up to a 680 easily with the 965 before you need to OC.

Both cards in question (650 and 660) will run a 1080p monitor. But some games require beefy cards for high settings @ 1080p. Namely, the two in question. Now, BF3 will run easily on the 660. Something like Crysis 3 won't.

What kind of monitor would you recommend that my card will be able to play on in hd? If this is something that can be attained just by the monitor size/resolution, it might not be idk

1600x900 is higher than 720p HD, and 1080p higher than that.
Running higher resolution means the GPU has more area to render, which is why lower end cards have a harder time struggling at that res. If you don't mind lowering settings on specific games then get a 1080p monitor.
