I have a HP Pavilion 7855 which had Windows ME on it. I think the hard drive gave up. I got the blue screen with an error "Grubb" and I don't have a clue what that is. A co-worker who is "suppose" to be pretty knowlegeable with PC's took the PC to check it out and see what he could do. Mistake. I've got it back and unfortunately boot straps are disconnected, things are not screwed down properly and I don't know where to start. I suppose I need to connect things and turn it on to see if it blows up. I do not want to reinstall ME if and when it gets running again. I will install Linux or XP. But can anybody help me get this thing back together?
