how does this set up look for spending 750 dollars per computer im taking old cd drives from old computer

Looks good. One thing you should consider is getting a SATA hard drive instead. With SATA you dont need those **** ribbons. They dont really cost much more than IDE, like a few bucks or so.

Everything else looks fine.
