Default How do I turn on the power supply unhooked?

I am building a Set of LED lights, and I have an old deskpot power supply I would like to use...

My question is, How do I turn the power supply ON without it connected to anything???

I found 2 of the pins that are 5v at rest. I'm assuming these are for the motherboard....

Check this out http://www.techwarelabs.com/guides/m...printpage.html. Not sure if it's that you want, but worth a check I guess lol.

Some people say it's not good to run a power supply with little or no load. Not sure how true that is, but it's something to keep in mind if you're using a fancy-pants 3000W PSU.

I'm gonna be running a decent LED fishtank light settup. I'll prolly be drawing quite a few amps

Eh. Pretty much just gaming, computers and cars. Mostly technology. :-)
