Hoping new laptop can compare

is it the mini vaio??? you can get 8-9 hours out of it and if you make it a skeleton (e.g. turning of wireless bringing the screen brightness to its lowest) you can get 11 hours. I don't like the keyboards on 12" laptops I don't find them cmfortable

Nah, it's a Dell Dimension D420. It runs a Core Duo ULV, so it should get pretty good battery life.
