ok i know i didn't break anything but I was messin with the video settings in one of my games and when I clicked apply my screen went black and I got a messege on my screen that said "H.V Frequency over range" and I don't know what that means lo, I was able to get out of my game and everything is fine now i just want to know what happend

It's your monitor, i'm pretty sure it means "horizontal vertical over range". I think your monitor isn't on it's native resolution.

it means that your refresh rate is over what your monitor can handle a typical refresh rate is 75 on a crt. but iaam not sure
