Default Hey I need help w/ Xmas Present for Little bro..

He wants some upgrades:

He said he wanted a good pci motherboard
7800 card I think?
and a good processor


He has 1 gb of ram
big Hd
420 watt psu

I dont really know whats good these days as I am occupied with school...

So if anyone can provide me with links I would appreciate it....Im looking for a $500 budget or so...Is it possible

He wants to play some game called Fear,BF2,CD2.. I dont know anything about the first one and the last one

if your buildling him a whole new computer

you can not get mobo+7800GT video card for less then 500 dollars

Yeah, the graphics card is most important for gaming, and since he has 1GB of RAM, definetly go for that first...a decent one runs for $280-$350 alone. (Everyone will recommend the 7800GT, it seems...)

The processor will run $150 and up, depending on the socket type (939 being more expensive)...and of course you'll need a motherboard to support both, adding another $150.
