Default Help wanted!! 3d accelerator problem

ok so I downloaded world of warcraft since summer started again and its worked before and when I try to open it it says the 3d accelerator wont run. I could buy a new videocard but I only have 60 dollars. I only have 512 but tommorow Ill have 1g and 512 since theres only 2 slots of ram. yah these specs arent completely right because I do have about 2g of space left on my harddrive which Im also fixing to upgrade later on... Id rather make a new computer but Im scared Ill screw up. main problem though.... graphics things!!! I downloaded directx10 first and it was the wrong one so i went and downloade 9.0c and it still didnt work... i dont know wat to do. I also went to hp and got all the updates. If I buy a new videocard then will it work?

You might be able to install Direct X 10, however, it isn't compatible with your current video card. To find a card that is Direct X 10 compatible, your best bet will be on newegg.com. The other thing you want to keep in mind is whether or not your motherboard has PCI-e (PCI Express), most older board have AGP, and to find an AGP card that is Direct X 10 compatible and within your budget is going to be slim to none.

Canada Computers - Video Cards > PCI-Express Cards > Powered By ATI : MSI RX1550-TD256E ATI Radeon X1550 256MB DDR2 DVI/VGA PCI-Express Graphics.

This right? No its not compatiable you got a AGP slot not a PCI-Express.

This will do you good:

Cheaper: Diamond S120 Radeon 9550 256MB DDR AGP 8x DVI VGA TV Out Video Card S120AGP256SB in Canada at TigerDirect.ca
Same one as yours:
Canada Computers - Video Cards > AGP Cards : Sapphire ATI Radeon X1550 256MB DDR2 AGP DVI/VGA/TV Out (Lite Retail).

Do you know what videocard you got now? Or can you tell me the name of the PC u got.

well I still havent really gotten help... Im gonna try to reinstall world of warcraft and see if it reacts. I was wondering though. If 3d online games work then that means that my 3d accelerator is working right? Like if runescape works then is it just my wow game or something?
