Default Help me build my girlfriend's computer

Ok, so I'm building a computer for my girlfriend - nothing too flashy, but I want it to be a solid computer. I want the graphics card to be decent (Sims 3 type kind of power).

Anyway, I have a budget of about $800 (including OS and Monitor).

I've decided on a processor, monitor, and OS (64 bit, because I want 4 gigs of ram).

E5200 Wolfdale 2.5GHz LGA 775 65W
Acer X223Wbd Black 22" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor
Vista 64-Bit

That leaves about....$400 or so for the rest....work your magic people, do me right!

Wow, you just need Sims 3?

You can get a lot more power for $800....

But here, I've saved most of her budget with this:

The 3 thigns you have..
Asus P5K-E
4gb G-Skill Black PI
HD 4670
A HD and Optical Drive based on her needs
Corsair 450vx

Well, get me the absolute maximum performance for $800. I'm going to be playing games on this computer until I can afford to build my own super rig. So, max that **** out baby!

-EDIT - here's a preliminary build I've put together based on what you've said. Let me know if I've got sub-par brands or what not.
Mobo: ASUS P5K DELUXE/WIFI-AP LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard
RAM: G.SKILL PI Black 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
GPU:MSI R4670-2D512 Radeon HD 4670 512MB
PSU:CORSAIR CMPSU-450VX 450W
CASE:Rosewill R5604-BK 0.8mm Japanese Cold Rolled Steel Dual 120mm Fans
CPU:Intel Pentium E5200 Wolfdale 2.5GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
HDD:Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB
Monitor:Acer X223Wbd Black 22" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor
Optical:SAMSUNG 22X DVD Burner Black SATA
OS:Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit

Let me know if I can improve.

I'd get this instead
Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards
also that cpu really needs a hsf to shine like the sunbeam core contact freezer
Upgrade the graphics a tad to this Newegg.com - POWERCOLOR AX4830 512MD3-H Radeon HD 4830 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards then she can play sims 4
As a student (assuming) you can get vista for a discount not sure whether its 32bit or 64 bit though

I'm pretty sure you can fit a HD 4830 or HD 4850 in that budget then

Ya, if there's AA and AF in that game he's going to be cranking it!

Or you buy that HD 4850, I'll trade you my HD 3850 for it

yeh a 4850 would be a little over kill unless you plan on sneaking in some gaming on your girl's comp behind her back (just saying )

Well of course I'll be sneakin' in some gaming! That's the benefit of building one of these babies.

I think I can swing the 4830 HD, that sounds like a pretty solid card. Will this rig be able to run say, Oblivion/Fallout 3?

Saltynay: Any particular reason for a change in mobo to the Gigabyte? More reliable brand maybe?

And what about this Vista student discount, can anyone elaborate on that?
