Default Help look over & advise new budget PC build

I'm going to be buying and building my first PC soon, a budget PC for around $400-$500. I'd appreciate it very much if someone could look over my intended parts, suggest replacements, and help me choose a GPU for this project.

(Also, am I going to need to buy some cables? Fans?)
I will not be needing an OS system since I already have a Win7 cd.

Here is my list thus far:

Any replies are much appreciated!
I would like to keep this computer as close to $400 as possible but if need be, I can go as high as $500-550.

That all looks good; the only change I would suggest is to a newer hard drive; look for one with a 32MB cache rather the 8MB you have there.

Gotcha, so doesn't look like there will be any hardware conflicts? It's been awhile since I've been up to date on the new technology.. Things change so much over just a few years. I'm a bit lost nowadays.

Nope, no conflicts.
Though, looking again I would change to a motherboard which takes DDR3 RAM instead of DDR2 - it will mean when you upgrade in future you won't need to buy new RAM as well. And make sure it can accept AM3 CPUs like the current one you chose. (And of course buy DDR3 RAM instead).

Ah, good thinking. See this is the reason why I came here

This look good?:

MSI 740GM-P25 AM3 AMD 740G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Newegg.com - MSI 740GM-P25 AM3 AMD 740G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

Also, can you recommend any GPUs?

If you aren't planning on doing it already, get the case+PSU in the combo thing. Save a few bucks.

I took a look, I don't think there is a combo for my case+psu. Only combo for Windows 7, and the PSU has a combo for a much more expensive case.

I'm thinking about getting this GPU:

SAPPHIRE 100253HDMI Radeon HD 4650 512MB 128-bit GDDR2
Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100253HDMI Radeon HD 4650 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Low Profile Ready Video Card

If I bought another would I be able to configure 2 in crossfire later on? (It's still called crossfire isn't it?)

Also, should all of these items come with the correct cables, or do I need to buy some to be sure?
