Help identifying

Hey!
Today my Xeon 5160 I ordered came in the mail, but I have no clue where to install it!

Allright, so there is one of the directly above image in my PC, appears to be a huge heatsink. So just unscrew it, remove old CPU, replace CPU, add thermal compund, and replace heatsink?

What are those silver things? Heatsinks? If so, for what?

The silver blocks are heatsinks for the north and south bridges.

The two sockets are where CPU(s) go. If you're replacing your existing one, then remove the heatsink, clean off the heatsink and CPU with high-percentage isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol and (I recommend) coffee filters (they're cheap and lint-free). Install new CPU, put a pea-sized dot of thermal compound on the CPU, reseat the heatsink (it will spread the compound for you, no need to spread it yourself). And that's about it

I'm going to guess the first slot is where a single CPU goes. Make sure to leave the other CPU out.

I eventually figured it out myself, the bridges wouldn't come off, so I figured that's not where the CPU's are XD

Thats a damn huge heatsink, I used a ShamWOW and some rubbing alcohol to get off the old thermal compound. Worked like a charm.
