yeah , i think I got it to work. Changed permissions in the nvidia file and then deleted the nvidia 3D "crapola" that got downloaded automatically on 10/28/2012- along with the Nvidia update that i still cannot uninstall or delete- but if everything works I don't care . Used Driver Sweeper to clean the physX out again, rebooted to safe mode again. Then uninstalled the display driver via right click in my computer/system properties/device manger/etc. - then rebooted again in safe mode. Then went to device manager again/display/update and the driver downloaded correctly= 310.90 all by itself.
