The timing is alright but better could be had for a few dollars more. from what I see alot on this forum is people getting good PC2 6400 at 800 mhz with 4-4-4-12 timing and overclocking to 1066 with better timing but I'm sure someone that knows a little more about it than me will chime in, As far as the 1066 ram, you can get these with 5-5-5-15 A little better than the OCZ at 5-6-6-18 I've never been a fan of OCZ, Heard too many horror stories about computability but That's just my opinion. These are the Gskill with the better timing Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

Dauntae

Ok so long story, I am going to return my processor (e7400), and graphics card (VisionTek 4870 512mB) because they were really over priced. (GXF Card - 250 CPU - 150) So I should I go AMD for the best bang for the buck or Intel for performance. Then that also brings me to the GFX Nvida or Intel. This is what I came up with.

GFX Card: Newegg.com - EVGA 896-P3-1255-AR GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

RAM: Newegg.com - G.SKILL PI Black 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

Need help.

Thanks to everyone that has replied to this thread.

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!
Nice combo there. Phenom II X3 720 and a GIGABYTE GA-MA790GP-UD4H for $230.

If you want to spend a bit more for even a better mob, go with this one:

Same CPU , but with a ASUS M4A79 Deluxe for $286.

if you want a X4 940 with that Gigabyte board, it is $304:

940 with the Asus is $360:

Build looks good. You can go with either 260, doesn't really matter. For the Evga it comes with a game and you'll be paying a little extra.

Just to let you know, 4870 1Gb are faster than the core 216s. Here are some good ones:
Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100259-1GL Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Newegg.com - MSI R4870-T2D1G Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Newegg.com - ASUS EAH4870 DK/HTDI/1GD5 Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Plus, if you get an ATI card, you'll be able to add another in the future for Crossfire with that motherboard. WIth Nvidia, you can't SLI on that board.
