Default Help Finding a External Hardrive.

Alright guy's i'm looking for a external hardrive for home use that's big and that's cheap.

Purposes- to move all my games/music/big files on there.

Reason-I currently have 8 gigs of space, after emptying my hardrive out and the total is 80 gigabytes.

I was wondering of the following.

-What I'm capable of getting for 100$ total.
-What is the best brand.
-If you know of any deals going around.
-Anything else you can recommend me.

Thankyou.

i would go with an acomdata for your price range, i would recomend just getting another internal hard drive, its has faster trasfer rates and there cheaper.

Won't it use up more power on my computer than a external hard drive.

Why not just spend a little more than 100 bucks and buy yourself a 500gb internal drive and not have to worry about space

Newegg.com - Fantom Titanium-II TFD500U16 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache USB 2.0 External Hard Drive - Retail

I have the 120 gb version, and have never had a single problem with it.

Now I went in staples today and looked at the
Newegg.com - Seagate FreeAgent Desktop ST302504FDA1E1-RK 250GB 7200 RPM USB 2.0 External Hard Drive - Retail

Is that good for the price, it's 79.99 in staples. Also lets say I have Utorrent and peerguardian on my hardrive, can I take the harddrive to my friends house and use these two programs?

Thanks.

power shouldn't be a problem, im running with a 250watt psu (i havn't upgraded for 2 years, should have my new system in about a month though). If you want to transfer files between computers you should go with a portable though, its easier then hooking up a hard drive every time you want to transfer files.
