Help On a Budget Upgrade

As a follow up to everything relating to this thread. I ended up purchasing all components, have everything connected and I've ran into one problem.

The motherboard I bought comes with 1 PCIE x 16, 2 PCIE x 8 and one regular PCI. I have a video card inserted into the PCI slot, but from what I am reading, that is not default and therefor when the computer boots, I can't visually see anything. What should I do?

I hope you still have your XP disk, you can't just put the hard drive in your new motherboard and expect it to work. now.
