ok so i bought this grapics card thinking it would fit according to my manual. so what type of slot is this? sorry iam dumb

question numero dos how do i figure out my socket type? thanks

You bought a PCI Express Graphics Card.

PCI E and PCI are different

what are your current Specs. Mobo looks it only has PCI slots so that means its either a prebuilt with intergrated graphics or just a really old computer.

It also looks to be Mircro ATX or even AT.

Well Upgrading it will be hard since most parts for dells are properity.

me personnally id sell that one and save up for a custom computer.

Depending on what you want to do with it though.

what do you mean properity? iam not going to sell its its a month old id rather upgrade the mobo

Properity means, dell makes thier parts in werid designs and differen't specifications then what you can buy on like newegg or other stores that sell computer parts.

they do it so your more likely to upgrade through them. Making them more money.
