i am new to this forum and have a few question

my rig
AMD Althon 64 Processor 3400
2.40 Ghz 1 gig of ram
Windows Xp Pro Sp3
80 gigs

i have also 250 gigs external and 500 gigs internal

but my computer runs slows as ****
but when i run it with out the 500
it runs normal but do i need to upgrade to dual core for it run nice ?

What you mean without the 500? You run off the external hd? Also, how come you are running sp3?

yeah i have a normal computer setup where it just my 80 gig with computer and extra external hd whihc 250 but installed a new 500 gig internal hd

and when i take it out it runs smoother but when i have it in it run slow

sp3 is what came with the windows i got from torrents

SP3 is your problem I think.

SP3 isn't even out yet, maybe he's using the Beta version and thats causing the laggyness

Switch back to sp2. Those leaked versions or betas suck

No real reason for sp3 right now. SP2 is about as solid as windows is going to get at the moment.
