hey guys,

so recently i got a thermaltake sonic tower heatsink, and paired it with a silent 12cm LED fan.

my question is about the fan placement on the heatsink. the sonic tower gives the option of having the fan facing toward the back of the case, or towards the front of the case (where the hard drive, dvdrw are).

right now its facing towards the back (towards exhaust fan holes), but i was wondering how much of a performance decrease (or increase?) i would get by placing the fan facing toward the front. i want to be able to see the LED!

there are no other fans in the case, if that means anything.

hmm, place the fan towards the front, because if u place two fans next to each other they sort of negate each other's cfm (ie. u would expect 2 fans at 50 cfm would = 100, but if they are too close they it turns to like 25 cfm - i know this because my computer was in this position once)

haha, i love the pic.

but i have no other fans in my case right now cuz trying to find a happy medium between silent and stable performance.

so knowing that, can i still switch the fan position?
